Redberry Farm visits Dubai

Redberry Farm visits Trade Show

Redberry Farm was fortunate to have two of our managers Jonathan Miller (Farm Manager) and Pauli Kritzas (Sales and logistics manager) invited by one of our strawberry exporters: Toro Fruit to visit the Gulfood Food and Beverage trade show hosted in Dubai from the 13th to 17th of February 2022. In 2020 Redberry Farm started exporting more fruit and in the 2021 season we were fortunate enough to export 300 tons of Strawberries to the Middle East. This made it the ideal opportunity to see where in the world our strawberries are going and how the markets there are operating.

About the Trade Show

Gulfood is one of the biggest trade shows hosted yearly at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with more than 4000 exhibitors from all over the world showcasing their food and beverage products. This includes oil products, meats, dairy and many more. Gulfood attract more than 90 000 visitors over the course of five days.

About our Visit

Our two managers had three days in Dubai filled with new business opportunities and adventure! Not only did they spend their time at the Gulfood market, but they also visited the market where our strawberries are delivered to. This is where agents for different markets and grocery stores will purchase their fresh produce for distribution.  They met with the agents who purchase Redberry Farm’s strawberries, and it was humbling to learn that Redberry Farm is the preferred strawberry brand.

An Experience to Remember

Between all the business, they had to make time for some pleasure and explore the city of gold! They saw the Burj Khalifa – the highest building in the world. They hopped on the back of a camel in the dessert like real locals would and enjoyed a thrilling 4×4 ride between the sand dunes.

Redberry Farm look forward to many more years of successful business with the Middle East market!
