Strawberry Trifle
Trifle is synonymous as a Christmas Dessert favourite. We found the ideal trifle filled with fresh strawberries, creamy vanilla dessert and a zest of orange flavours. Perfect cool dessert to enjoy on a hot South African Christmas!
What You need
450ml Milk
1 package instant vanilla dessert mix
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
3 teaspoons Redberry Farm Strawberry Syrup
6 cups cubed vanilla sponge cake
3 cups sliced fresh strawberries ( 2 cups thin slices, 1 cup halved strawberries)
1 tin caramel treat
Whipped cream for topping
Preparation Method
In a large bowl, beat the milk and instant vanilla dessert mix for two minutes.
Layer your ingredients the following way: ½ Cubed cake, ½ caramel treat, ½ Vanilla dessert and 1 cup sliced strawberries.
After the first layer pour over the Redberry Farm Strawberry syrup and arrange the halved strawberries on the side of the bowl.
Repeat layer
Refrigerate for two hours and top with whipped cream before serving
